Hi, my name is Stewart Powles and this is my résumé. I have a wide range of experience and skills across a variety of work environments. I am experienced in web development, having run my own freelance business over the past three years, following seven years of academic training and teaching in web development related subjects.

Graduations Assistant at the University of Glasgow

I worked on the winter graduation ceremonies, this involved producing transcripts and scrolls, filing and relevant data entry work.

Front Line Support Team Administrator at the University of Glasgow
2016 – June to Oct

I helped oversee the daily administrative tasks for the Registration and Enrolment Support Team, a temporary team working under the Student Services Enquiry Team. I assisted in supervising a team of 23 temporary workers, including creating and managing their rotas, filling out time sheets and spreadsheets used for payroll purposes, delegating tasks and assigning staff roles depending on the most pressing requirements of the day. I also supervised the SupportWorks team, and carried out the day to day administrative tasks required of this role. I have also spent time working directly under the Student Services Enquiry Team carrying out tasks such as document production, producing ID cards and checking student records on MyCampus to diagnose any problems students may be having.

Tier 4 Visa Assistant at the University of Glasgow
2015 – Aug to Sept

During this busy period I was responsible for verifying Tier 4 Visa applications and issuing Biometric Residence Permits to international students studying at the University of Glasgow. This involved data entry and working with highly sensitive documents in accordance with Home Office regulations.

In this voluntary position I was responsible for scanning archived materials that are decades old, this required delicate handling of documents and restoration skills using Adobe Photoshop to repair imperfections.
