Another Postcard from Belarus

There are currently 195 Countries recognised by the United Nations, and I hope to collect a postcard from each and every one of them. Getting a postcard from certain countries will be difficult I am sure, but I do like a challenge. I am doing this using my Interpals Profile and the Postcrossing website. I hope to have exchanges with lots of people and gain some insight into different cultures and backgrounds.

This postcard shows Minsk airport. I’ve never been one to really appreciate airport architecture but this seems pretty nice, a sort of retro futuristic look. The blue water and sky probably help make it look inviting! Thank you Andrew. I already have a postcard from Belarus, this one is not included in my overall count to 195 cards.

I love seeing and reading about the kind of food that people in other countries like to eat. On the back of this postcard Olga writes about how popular pumpkin is in Belarus, how people will make pumpkin soup, or pumpkin pies and fritters. It sounds delicious! Thank you Olga! Thank you Lena for this postcard from Belarus featuring a powerful bison in the Naliboki Reserve. I had not heard of this place before so I went on to Google to search for it. It looks absolutely beautiful, miles upon miles of pristine and untouched forest. I haven’t been to Belarus yet however this certainly makes me want to! Since I already have a postcard from Belarus, this one is not included in my overall count to 195 cards.

Thank you Veronika for this postcard, the depiction here of Minsk looks so quaint and makes me want to visit it! Since I already have a postcard from Belarus, this one is not included in my overall count to 195 cards.

This is a lovely postcard all the way from Belarus, admittedly I couldn’t point to Belarus on a map if I tried to, so I had to look at Google Earth for some information. I am looking forward to learning more about your country Anna, thank you! Postcard #7.
